Individuals should select upholstered bed frames to soften the hard edges seen in many bedrooms.

This is according to furniture specialists Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams, who told interior design website ShelterPop that sleeping areas are normally dominated by sharper wooden objects.

“For our sense of style, nothing warms up a bedroom like a fabric or leather-upholstered bed,” they said. “It gives a room a finished look and more.”

According to the pair, there are also affordable options for people who are looking to upgrade their bedroom on a budget.

People do not have to purchase an entirely new bed frame, they argued, as an upholstered headboard with a matching bed skirt will also provide a completed look without breaking the bank.

Last month, Verdict Research revealed bedroom furniture sales are on the increase in the UK, with the market expected to expand by as much as £80 million this year.
