Sleep proves key to Mary Byrne's revival

Singer Mary Byrne returned to form on the X Factor on Saturday night (November 13th) and her improved performance has been put down to better sleep.

The Irish vocalist gave her rendition of Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight? and won praise from the judging panel, having spent a more restful night on mattresses outside the X Factor house.

According to the Irish Herald, a cousin of the 51-year-old former Tesco employee explained she had been struggling to get enough shut eye living with the other contestants and producers of the ITV show had allowed her to move into a hotel.

“She was only getting about three or four hours sleep each night because of the noise and everything happening in that house,” Paul Byrne told the news source.

He added that a visit from her daughter Debbie also helped the rising star to get her energy back.

In related news, Gwyneth Paltrow recently admitted to Reuters she had trouble sleeping before making her debut at the Country Music Awards.
